Zune HD Video MP3 Player

The new Zune HD is finally going to be released to the market. Microsoft has tried to challenge iPod in the past couple of years with its Zune, and while Zune has had some progress, iPod is still dominating the world of MP3 players. Zune HD is Microsoft’s latest attempt to challenge the supremacy of iPod. The new Zune HD is better and faster than the old generation Zune. It has now fully adopted flash memory  and comes with HD radio to help you get the best quality music possible on the go.

Zune HD is very similar to iPod Touch as far as memory is concerned. It comes in two flavors. You can always settle for the 16 GB model if you don’t have too much music but your best will be to go with Zune 32 GB HD. What’s more impressive about Zune HD is its OLED screen. It’s not only shiny but it makes watching movies (in 720p resolution) much more fun. The screen is touchscreen as well, so navigating through the menus is much easier.

Perhaps the most impressive Zune HD feature is its ability to expand your videos to Xbox and other entertainment devices in your network. In essence, you can download content to your Zune and watch them on multiple devices. You can also use your Zune to browse the Internet, e-mail, and do all kinds of things online.

All in all, Zune HD is a very good upgrade over the previous generation Zune. The HD radio feature is a big plus and the connectivity and wireless features certainly take Zune to the next level. Can it truly challenge iPod Touch? That we will have to watch and see.
